JUNIOR ACCOUNTANT
This role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced logistics and warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Record financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments, in the accounting system.
- Maintain and update general ledger entries.
- Reconcile bank accounts, cash floats, credit card statements, payables, and debt accounts.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing and accurate tracking.
- Assist with the preparation of customer invoices, debit notes, and credit notes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in line with company policies and accounting standards.
- Support payroll processing and assist with timely payment disbursements.
- Assist with monthly and year-end closing processes.
- Prepare financial reports, schedules, and supporting documents as required by management and external auditors.
- Assist with tax filings and other regulatory documentation to support compliance with statutory deadlines.
- Maintain the company’s fixed asset register.
- Support senior management with finance, accounting, administrative, customer, and vendor-related tasks as needed.
Qualifications and Experience
- Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 1–2 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting. Internship or entry-level experience will be considered.
- Experience in inventory or operations management would be an asset.
- ACCA certification or progress toward ACCA would be a plus, but is not required.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAGE, Zoho, or similar platforms.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Sound understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
- Knowledge of payroll processes and statutory requirements.
- Ability to manage invoices, payment processing, and financial records accurately.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle sensitive financial information with discretion.
- Flexible, adaptable, and able to meet deadlines, especially during month-end and year-end closing periods.
Working Environment
The role is based in a general office setting within a warehouse/logistics environment. The position requires regular communication, active listening, and the ability to manage deadlines. Occasional extended hours, including weekends, may be required during peak reporting and closing periods.
TEAM LEADER
The team leader manages all inbound/outbound activities and facilities in charge, within the local governing statutes for operations whilst meeting service standards and maintaining efficient operational activities.
- A minimum of Five (5) years working experience in warehousing anddistribution environment.
- At least Two (2) years working experience at a supervisory level.
- Certified in Logistics/Warehouse management
WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE
This job entails the daily execution of warehouse and inventory related activities.
- A minimum of three (3) years working experience within warehouse/distribution/production environment.
- A minimum of two (2) years operating MHE used within a warehouse and or production environment.
- Certified to operate and proficient in the MHE used in the assigned areas.
WAREHOUSE CLERK
This job entails the daily coordination of work orders by recording, updating, reconciliation and distribution of inventory and labor activity information, using manual and/or computerized systems.
- A minimum of three (3) years working experience within warehouse/ distribution/production environment in a clerical role.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Minimum of five (5) GCE O'Level/CXC General Proficiency Level subjects, including English and Mathematics or equivalent certification.
CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT & INVENTORY CLERK
In this role, you’ll support audits, track inventory processes, analyze performance, and help drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- 3+ years in warehouse/distribution environments
- Experience with inventory systems (WMS/ERP)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
